Here is Bosco, Seattle’s new contender for the Rupaul’s Drag Race season 14

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 14 will be back on Jan. 7 with a fresh batch of 14 queens competing for the crown and title of America’s next drag superstar. This is no ordinary season either.

Bosco (they/them), a Seattle local and regular performer in Capitol Hill, will be joining the cast. The promo, which dropped Dec. 2, stunned with its Candyland-esque board game fantasy that showcased the queens with their sickening bold colorful looks.

It’s been 6 years since Seattle got a queen on “Drag Race,” but that doesn’t mean Seattle’s drag scene is lacking. In fact, when Seattle brings its local drag talent to the main stage, it’s always memorable in the eyes of the audience.

Miss Congeniality of season 6, BendelaCreme, is a Seattle native, known for having infamously eliminated herself off of “Drag Race All Stars.” The winner of season 5, Jinkx Monsoon, became a Seattleite after getting her start in Portland, Oregon.

Locals enthusiastically flocked to Queer/Bar on the same Thursday the promo dropped to celebrate and see the newly inducted Rugirl. Bosco performed and spoke at their weekly 10 p.m. show, Mothership, where they were joined by fellow Seattle queens Irene Dubois, Michete, and Kaleena Markos

Dubbing themselves as the “Demon Queen” of Seattle, Bosco made promises on “putting on clothes and looking nice in them.” This includes a pale blue avant-garde dress accented with red strap for their promotional image, by Seattle designer Jordan Christianson. In their introductory interview, Bosco further described their drag as being “equal parts evil and naked.”

Queer/Bar now proudly displays a mural made for Bosco on the inside wall to congratulate their queen. You can watch Bosco in all their glory starting Jan. 7, 2022, premiering on VH1 and World of Wonder.
