Local cafe review: Do you want to eat crepes? Try Cafe Javasti

Do you enjoy eating delicious food and trying out new cafes? If so, you should visit Cafe Javasti, established in 2001. Cafe Javasti has two locations: one in Wedgwood and another in Maple Leaf. I recently visited the Maple Leaf location.

The first impression of any cafe often starts with its exterior. Outside Café Javasti, there are tables and chairs where people can sit. It is peaceful to drink coffee or eat crepes outside on a sunny day. The inside of the cafe is cozy and has a warm atmosphere. Yellow-colored lights and drawings add to the cozy ambiance. People came with friends or by themselves and had a restful time at the cafe.

Cafe Javasti offers various drinks, sweet crepes, and savory crepes. Drink prices range from $4 to $5, and crepes are priced under $12. I ordered the number one and seven of the sweet crepes section. The former’s flavor was strawberry, nutella, whipped cream, and sliced almonds. The latter was baked apples, cinnamon, sugar, and whipped cream flavor. A cashier handed me an animal card instead of a table number and started to prepare the crepes.

After 15 minutes, I received my order. The crepes were freshly baked and warm. The strawberry crepe had fresh strawberries, and the crepe was very soft. The harmony of strawberry, nutella, cream, and crepe was great. The cinnamon apple crepe was also amazing. If you like apple pie and cinnamon, I recommend the cinnamon apple crepe. The taste of the crepes was a mouth-watering combination of flavors, but the size of it was too big to eat in one sitting. I got a to-go box for my leftovers.

I asked Hyesu Lee, who went to the cafe with me, to review the cafe. She said, “because there is a residential area around the cafe, it is easy to park. Also, the crepes were so delicious, so maybe I will visit the cafe again. However, because of the whipped cream, the crepes were a little greasy.”

There is a difference between the Wedgwood and Maple Leaf Cafe Javasti locations. The Cafe Javasti in Maple Leaf doesn’t have tables that fit more than three people. If you want to visit it with your friends or family, I recommend you to go to Wedgwood Cafe Javasti. The Wedgwood location is bigger than the Maple Leaf one.

People who don’t enjoy sweets may not enjoy the sweet crepes. However, Cafe Javasti also offers savory crepes, which are good as a meal. If you visit Cafe Javasti, you will understand why Cafe Javasti has been loved by the Seattle community since 2001.
