Established as a franchise in 1977, Seattle’s Major League Baseball team chose the nickname “Mariners” out of 600 other possible names because the association between the sea and Seattle symbolizes the city’s community and identity.
This month, Seattle Colleges International Programs is offering $5 tickets to all students of Seattle Colleges for the Seattle Mariners versus the Oakland Athletics on May 10, at 6:40 p.m., at T-Mobile Park. International Students from all three Seattle Colleges can request free tickets if they sign up by Friday, April 20.

Each student may submit a request for one ticket, and as the game date approaches, students will receive an email with detailed information about where and when to meet the group outside the stadium before the game.
