Held on Dec. 7 at One World, the first Seattle Central College (SCC) holiday party since 2019 was a success! Organized by the combined efforts of the President’s Office and Seattle Culinary Academy (SCA), students and faculty members came together to celebrate the holiday season.
The SCA provided guests with outstanding finger dishes: from lemongrass chicken skewers to an elaborate charcuterie board. An assortment of wines were also provided by the South Seattle College’s Northwest Wine Academy. However, the guests didn’t only get their stomachs filled with food, but also their hearts with the warm company and laughter that was very much needed after the separation caused by the COVID pandemic. During a conversation with SCC’s Interim President, Dr.Bradley Lane, he described the event as just one of the first steps that the school’s administration has planned to bring the school’s community back to life.
